Kyoko Hamada – Malcolm Morley
Kyoko Hamada captures the 83-year-old photo-realist master for an interview with Dujour Magazine.
In true Kyoko form, she photographed Mr Morley from a high vantage point, looking down into his studio, his work space, the tables full of pigments and two paintings he was working on. She gives the viewer a glimpse into the artist at work. She also photographed a closeup of tubes of paints, carefully organised and structured with nails to support them. The playfulness of Morley’s work blends synonymously with the equally humorous nature of Kyoko’s style. And as always, Kyoko shows us her gift at capturing older people in a kind yet truthful manner.
