George Shelbourn, aka MUTE Animation, had his first experience of animation at the tender age of 5. The stop animation class did not enthrall him at the time and he decided animation was not for him. After 7 years of playing in a band and not quite reaching the dizzy heights he expected he decided it was time for a real job and he gave animation another shot.
This second foray into motion proved to be a big success with his first short film becoming a Vimeo Staff Pick and he has not looked back since. He went on to became Head of Animation at Casual Films and after 5 years in that position working for the likes of IBM, Samsung, PwC and Wimbledon he decided to branch out on his own to create MUTE animation producing beautiful animations for clients including Sony, Swarovski, Arsenal FC, Wolff Olins and Nurofen.
