LA Philharmonic x MUTE Animation
This month MUTE Studio had the pleasure of working with the most famous orchestra in the world. The short film in collaboration with LA Philharmonic was created to celebrate their centennial anniversary and documents some comedic history to the orchestra’s success.
“From 1962 to 1978, Music Director Zubin Mehta helped establish the LA Phil’s reputation as experimentalists. But the 1976 premiere of John Cage’s challenging Apartment House 1776 required a little outside assistance from a beloved comedian…Danny Kaye.”
