Hungry Students

MUTE animation was commissioned by The Guardian to create this effecting short film for their digital US edition’s Teacher Takeover.

Looking in to the reality of teaching in the USA through the stories of two teachers, the film is a devastating depiction of the issues facing students in the US and the additional support teachers provide. From hungry students to problems with gun violence and the lack of access to financial aid and pastoral care, it is an extremely touching short beautifully illustrated and animated by George Shelbourn (MUTE).
