Brian Finke’s Hip Hop Honeys
Brian Finke spent three years documenting the professional lives of models on the sets of hip hop videos for his new book Hip Hop Honeys. He found himself on the set of countless video shoots for artists including Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, and Nicki Minaj.
Choosing to expose both the glamour and the boredom of professional video shoots—where moments of high-octane action are often followed by hours upon hours of waiting around—Finke employed his signature hyper-saturated aesthetic to document video models on-set.
Hip Hop Honeys is Brian’s fifth monograph. Images from the book form an exhibition at ClampArt in New York, running March 29 – May 12, 2018.
