Black Cinderella Exhibition at POCKO Gallery
Pocko’s upcoming exhibition Black Cinderella celebrates a collaboration between Japanese fashion label and design studio Mintdesigns, and London based artist Alessandra Genualdo.
Opening night 12th September @ Pocko Gallery, Dalston – 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
Black Cinderella is a collection that can be called a sequel to Mintdesign‘s Fragile collection, which was announced 7 years ago. ‘Fragile’ presented a collection inspired by delicate products such as pottery and various glass ornaments.
The sheerness and lightness associated with Cinderella’s glass shoes stand as a starting point for this exhibition. ‘Black Cinderella’ suggests two world views; before and after the magic, in an installation format.
This exciting presentation will feature Mintdesigns 2020 Spring/Summer collection, and debuting their first brand collection in the UK featuring a bespoke textile created by Alessandra Genualdo.
