Born in Slovakia, Martina Paukova started out studying politics. Attracted to all things pictorial she moved to London to study Graphic Design and later on Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. Currently she works as a freelance illustrator from Berlin.
Loyal to the dark outline and flat fill from the beginning of her career she’s found an innovative and fresh style that’s contemporary and feminine.
She’s well known for her organic characters set in awkward, flattened and geometrical domestic environments. Clients include Washington Post, CNN, OK Cupid, Lyra Magazine, IKEA, Apple, Cannes Lions 2016, Asos, WeTransfer, It’s Nice That, Squarespace, Google, Refinery 29, The Guardian, Converse, and Pull&Bear
