Geray Mena, born in Spain in 1989, is a Visual Artist and Commercial Photographer living and working between Amsterdam, Madrid and London.
Following his MA in Photography from EFTI (Centro Internacional de Fotografía y Cine, Madrid) he moved to Amsterdam where he studied a BFA Photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Between 2014 and 2016 he gained experience working as an assistant for photographers Daniel Stier (UK) and Studio Qiu Yang (NL) shooting for clients such as Google, Vogue US, Wallpaper, Chanel and The New York Times amongst others.
Since 2016 Geray has been working as a freelance photographer in the fields of still-life, interior, architecture and fashion, both commercially and editorially, with a clear aesthetic diction, a delicate and critical approach, dancing in between the lines between art, culture and commerce.
Besides his commercial practice, Geray has published books, held exhibitions,
and since 2017 is teaching, giving lectures and workshops at the IED (Istituto Europeo Di Design, Madrid).
