What is Pocko?

Pocko is an independent press and a creative agency based in London. As legend goes, Pocko was a Hungarian acrobat and the first person to cross the Niagara Falls walking on a tight rope. She was a fearless risk-taking individual who never looked down.

I would like to do a book. How do I apply?

To propose us a book you need to put a mock-up or dummy together. The page size is 10 x 14 cm and there are 96 pages in each book. Our title Pocko DIY is a blank book that has been conceived for this purpose. Your future book!

We only accept proposals printed on paper and possibly binded in a book format. Cd’s or website addresses are not necessary at this stage.

Remember not to send us originals or work that you need to have returned. If this is unavoidable you will have to arrange s.a.e. if you are sending from the UK or arrange the returning from your end. We cannot be responsible for material that we have not committed to print.

What are the selection criteria?

A look at our backlist will show you that we don’t consider projects by their format or medium. We are interested in the project’s coherence as a whole – its quality, concept and possibly the humor.
