Pocko is proud to present POCKOSHKO : Following a tradition dating back to the 1890’s, Pockoshko is a reinterpretation of this classic Russian design object with a contemporary edge. Originally an homage to Grandmothers, Pockoshko dedicates our mini-monuments to all Grandfathers!
This global creative project initiated by Pocko had it’s preview in Milan at the Pocko Gallery in May this year and has more recently been shown as part of the London Design Festival in London.
Artists including Tabas, McFaul Studio (top) and Kinpro (above) have each customised a series of wooden Pockoshko dolls, using a variety of techniques, from oil painting, ink and watercolour to collage and soldering.
Pockoshko will soon travel across oceans to be shown in New York and Los Angeles. Keep your eyes peeled for new developments!
