Federico De Leonardis started his early career as an architect and engineer. His deep knowledge of space and structure is the focus and the starting point of his concept of sculpture as a new term of dialogue with existing structures. That's why the most important works of Federico De Leonardis are permanent pubblic installations: Fessura e Contravvento I (Sesto S. Giovanni, Milan), Fessura e Contravvento II and Muri II (Peccioli, Tuscany). De Leonardis worked with Galleria Continua for several years, from 1994 to 2001, and widely exhibited in Italy. Pocko Gallery tributed him a solo show in december 2008, Quasi Niente.
