Tess Hurrell was born 1975 in Zimbabwe. Graduated in 2006 with a first class degree in Editorial Photography from the University of Brighton, she currently lives and works in London. She has exhibited work nationally and in Europe. Recipient of an AOP student award, and the student photography award from The Nagoya University of Arts. She works both as a photographer and  and as a sculpturer, as in the Chaology series and the Nests series.‘Chaology’ has been featured and discussed in Photoworks (November 2006), Art Review (February 2007), AOP’s Image magazine (May 2006) and Sleek magazine (June 2007).
