LEON CHEW - Wall Street Journal
Leon Chew was commissioned by Wall Street Journal to photograph 'Buried Treasure' in Afghanistan. Archaeologists are racing to save Afghanistan's cultural heritage before the Chinese start digging on one of the world's most valuable new copper mines. The Chinese beat out bidders from Australia and India to win the project, but with a stipulation that mining would not begin until 2014, so archaeologists could dig. The Chinese provided infrastructure and equipment for the excavation, for which the World Bank and the American Embassy, among others, kicked in around $10 million of the estimated $28 million budget. BEN NEWMAN - BBC Lab "TEST YOUR MORALITY"
Ben Newman was commissioned once again by the BBC, this time to produce a series of illustrations based on moral scenarios for each of the 33 questions provide in the 'Test Your Morality' experiment. We make moral decisions all the time, but do we really understand why we make them? In the test, you will be asked to respond to a variety of scenarios in which people are doing things that you may or may not agree with. You will be asked about how disgusted and angry the scenarios make you feel, and whether you want to avoid or punish the people in them. Take the test yourself and see the rest of Ben's collection. You might be surprised at the results!
SERIAL CUT™ FOR TOYOTA PRIUS
Serial Cut™ designs the print campaign for the new Toyota Prius V! Without doubt, the biggest job the Madrid-based artists has ever put together, the visuals highlight three features of the new Prius V: more versatility, efficiency, and connectivity. It took several months of pre-production, a six-day photo shoot and two months of post-production to complete the design. Serial Cut™ used a youthful, vibrant, and highly contemporary approach to express the essence of the new Prius V and its themes through 3D visuals. See more images from the campaign here and the "Making Of" video here
